Faculty Study

The Faculty Study study aims to understand the current trends in psychology department hiring in Canada. In partnership with Dr. Megan Ames at the University of Victoria and Dr. Nicole Racine at the University of Ottawa, we have compiled a list of professors hired within the last 10 years in Canadian psychology departments and examines various criteria including the year graduated, year hired, faculty of psychology, number of publications, gender, and more. A multi-method approach through web searches and individual surveys were used to evaluate recent hiring trends. This is the first of its kind study that aims to provide insight and valuable information to those currently belonging to and those entering the field.
